The Bachelor's program in Law (Public Law) aims to train students who are proficient in the theoretical foundations of law and its scientific and practical methodologies, through the study of general rules that govern the state and its institutions.

Admission Requirements & Enrollment
The University Centre of Maghnia (UCM) offers diverse undergraduate programs open to both national and international applicants, subject to the following regulatory frameworks:
- High School Graduates (Baccalaureate Holders) Prospective students holding a Bachelor’s degree (Baccalaureate) or an equivalent international qualification may apply according to the criteria and procedures updated annually by the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- Holders of Prior University Degrees (Classic System)
Candidates seeking to advance their studies or specialize further may apply based on available pedagogical capacity and ministerial guidelines. This includes:
- Holders of Prior University Degrees License degree (Classic System).
- Holders of the DEUABaccalaureate + 3 years Classic System)
- Second Degree Candidates
Students who already hold a university degree may apply for a second degree programsubject to seat availability and specific departmental requirements
- International Students ("Study in Algeria" Program)
UCM warmly welcomes international applicants. Admission is granted based on the following:
- The candidate must hold a degree in Baccalaureate degree or an internationally recognized equivalent
- Registration via the official ""Study in Algeria"" (Study in Algeria).

- Tuition-Free: Education is free for Algerian residents and international students receiving official scholarships from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education
- Fee-Paying: International students under the "Study in Algeria" program (non-scholarship) are subject to annual fees fees covering tuition, accommodation, and catering, determined by current regulatory decrees.
First Year (Bachelor's degree)
The first year represents a fundamental common stage for all law students, where they receive introductory courses in various branches of law (Constitutional Law, Introduction to Legal Sciences, Judicial Organization, Scientific Research Methodology, History of Legal Systems, etc.).
This year aims to enable students to grasp the theoretical and methodological foundations of legal sciences.
Second Year (Bachelor's degree)
The second year comes as an extension of the first year, as students continue their common training without entering the specialization track yet. At this stage, the focus is on core subjects that allow for the expansion of their legal knowledge, such as: Commercial Law, Public International Law, General Theory of Crime, Obligations, etc.
This year aims to consolidate a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and strengthen skills in legal analysis and drafting, qualifying students to move on to the specialization stage in the third year.
Third Year (Bachelor's degree)
This stage represents the beginning of actual specialization in one of two tracks: Public Law or Private Law.
In Public Law, the student delves deeper into the study of subjects related to the organization of the state, its institutions, and international relations, such as: International Humanitarian Law, Public Finance, Law of International Relations, Administrative Decisions and Contracts, etc.
At the end of this year, students are also required to complete a short graduation thesis within the (LMD) system, in preparation for continuing their studies at the Master's level or for integration into professional life.
The Bachelor’s degree in Law (Public Law) aims to provide students with fundamental and comprehensive knowledge in various branches of law, such as constitutional, administrative, criminal, and international law, while understanding the principles that govern both the relationships between individuals and entities, as well as state institutions and their operations. The program also focuses on developing methodological capacities in legal analysis, interpretation, and qualification, alongside equipping students with skills in scientific research and written and oral legal drafting, enabling them to link legal texts with practical facts. By the end of the six semesters of the programme, students will have acquired a range of skills in the following areas:

- Analytical competencies that allow for understanding legal issues, interpreting texts, and adapting them to facts in various fields.
- Writing skills that enable the drafting of legal briefs, lawsuits, and reports, while relying on precise research and analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency in comprehension and expression, both orally and in writing, in at least one foreign language (English or French), which enhances the student's openness to comparative legal sources.
